Terms of Service for Steves PC

Agreement to Terms

By purchasing products or services from Steves PC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services or purchase our products.

Custom Build Orders

Specifications and Approval

  • All custom PC builds require written approval of specifications before assembly begins
  • Component selections are based on current market availability
  • We reserve the right to substitute equivalent or superior components if specified parts become unavailable
  • Build timelines are estimates; delays due to component shortages are not grounds for cancellation with refund

Quality Assurance

  • All custom builds undergo comprehensive testing before delivery
  • Systems are delivered fully assembled, configured, and operational
  • Component authenticity and quality are guaranteed

Pricing and Payment

Payment Terms

  • Retail Products: Full payment required at time of purchase
  • Custom Builds: 50% deposit required to begin assembly; balance due upon completion before pickup/delivery
  • Business Services: Net 15 payment terms for established commercial clients; credit approval required

Pricing

  • All prices are in USD and subject to change without notice
  • Displayed prices do not include applicable sales tax (8.25% in San Antonio, TX)
  • Component prices fluctuate with market conditions; custom build quotes are valid for 7 days

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and ACH transfers for business accounts. Payment processing fees may apply for certain methods.

No Refunds on Custom Orders

Custom PC builds are made to your specifications and are non-refundable once assembly begins. Deposits are non-refundable after specifications are approved.

Warranties and Guarantees

Our Warranty Coverage

  • Custom Builds: 1-year comprehensive warranty on all labor and assembly
  • Component Warranties: Manufacturer warranties apply (typically 1-5 years depending on component)
  • Pre-built Systems: 90-day warranty on hardware
  • Business Services: Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as outlined in individual contracts

Warranty Process

To make a warranty claim:

  1. Contact us at 210-241-2054
  2. Provide proof of purchase and detailed description
  3. System must be brought to our location at 10207 N IH 35, San Antonio, TX 78233
  4. We will assess the issue and determine coverage within 2 business days

Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does NOT cover:

  • Damage from misuse, abuse, accidents, or liquid exposure
  • Unauthorized modifications or component changes
  • Software issues, viruses, or operating system corruption
  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage
  • Damage during customer transportation

Manufacturer defects are covered. Component failures due to manufacturing defects will be replaced under manufacturer warranty at no charge to you.

Limitation of Liability

Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product or service. We are not liable for:

  • Lost data, lost profits, or business interruption
  • Indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages
  • Issues caused by software, internet connectivity, or third-party services
  • Delays in service delivery due to component shortages or supply chain issues

No Warranty on Third-Party Software

We provide computers with operating systems and software, but we do NOT warrant third-party software functionality, compatibility, or updates.

Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information for orders and service requests
  • Maintain backups of important data (we are not responsible for data loss)
  • Comply with all applicable laws when using purchased products
  • Inspect products upon receipt and report issues within 7 days
  • Pay all invoices within stated terms

Abandoned Property

Products or systems left at our location for more than 60 days without communication will be considered abandoned. After 90 days, we may dispose of or sell abandoned property to recover storage costs.

Business IT Services (B2B Only)

Commercial Clients Only

Managed IT services, business consulting, and enterprise solutions are available exclusively to registered businesses, not individual consumers.

Service Agreements

  • Services are governed by individual Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Response times and coverage hours are defined per agreement
  • Early termination may incur fees as outlined in your SLA

Access and Permissions

Business clients grant us necessary access to systems and networks to provide services. You remain responsible for data security and regulatory compliance.

Intellectual Property

All website content, logos, designs, and proprietary build configurations are the intellectual property of Steves PC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our materials without written permission.

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bexar County, Texas.

Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal action, you agree to contact us at to attempt informal resolution for 30 days.

Arbitration Agreement

For claims under $10,000, you agree to binding arbitration in San Antonio, TX under the American Arbitration Association rules. Each party pays their own costs.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits against Steves PC.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Steves PC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your misuse of purchased products
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Violation of any laws or third-party rights
  • Data loss or business interruption claims

Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. We may terminate business relationships for:

  • Non-payment of invoices
  • Abusive or threatening behavior toward staff
  • Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation
  • Violation of these Terms

Product Returns and Exchanges

Retail Products

  • Unopened products may be returned within 14 days with receipt for store credit
  • Opened products are non-returnable due to the nature of computer components
  • Defective products will be exchanged for identical replacement within 30 days

Custom Builds

  • No returns or exchanges on custom builds – all sales are final after assembly begins
  • Warranty coverage applies for defects only

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including: natural disasters, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, component shortages, government actions, or utility failures.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Steves PC. Verbal statements or prior agreements are superseded by these Terms.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
